I’m Not
Kara-Okay!

An alternative karaoke night designed as a space, not just an event.

INKO was conceived, built, and run as a fully formed creative project. Beyond hosting the night itself, the work spans creative direction, graphic design, website build, and ongoing visual identity. This includes designing and running the Instagram presence, producing animated visuals for the on-screen experience during the event, and shaping the overall tone. Loud, inclusive, cathartic, and deliberately unpolished.

Every element is treated as part of the same system: how it looks online, how it feels in the room, and how people are encouraged to show up. The aim isn’t performance or perfection, but expression — giving people permission to take up space, sing badly, and feel held while doing it.

The work for INKO goes far beyond creating a visual identity. I’m also responsible for how it functions. The list of karaoke tracks is listed on our site, attendees can also submit their song and wait to be called up to sing. INKO began as an idea that became loving community and a place for people to be themselves and support each other.
