Hoarding
Turning a construction site into a gallery of science and imagination.
Commissioned by the Royal College of Pathologists and led by Dr Lizzie Burns, this project transformed a construction site into a public artwork celebrating creativity, science, and community.
Using bacteria, viruses, and cells as inspiration, pupils from English Martyrs Catholic Primary School created hundreds of vibrant drawings which were used to decorate the hoardings surrounding the College’s new headquarters on Alie Street, London.
I was responsible for turning six years’ worth of children’s artwork into a cohesive large-scale installation — cleaning and preparing each piece, designing the full layout, liaising with printers, and overseeing production to ensure colour accuracy and scale. The result was a joyful, science-inspired mural that brightened the streets of Tower Hamlets while celebrating both pathology and young imagination.
